WARREN, Ohio – Sales of new cars and trucks to residents of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties improved by 4.7% in January compared with the same period in 2025, according to the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association.
The organization’s monthly sales report shows that dealerships sold a total of 2,452 new vehicles last month, compared with 2,341 sold during the same month last year.
Among the top five dealers in new-vehicle volume sales were Boardman Subaru with 156 registrations reported; Fairway Ford, Canfield, and Toyota of Boardman each with 120; Ken Ganley Kia, Boardman, with 111; Fairway Chevrolet GMC with 110; and Preston Hyundai with 106.
Sales of used vehicles in January were flat compared with a year earlier, the dealers report shows. Dealerships sold 2,011 used cars and trucks to area buyers last month, compared with 1,996 sold in January 2025, an increase of less than 1%.
