A schoolboy has been seriously injured after being struck by a car. Merseyside Police were called to Morrisons car park off Penketh Drive in Speke at around 4pm today, Monday September 15, following reports of a crash involving a child.
Emergency services attended the scene and the 11-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with a serious leg injury. The driver stopped at the scene, police said.
Officers remain at the scene to carry out initial inquiries. A witness reported seeing around six police cars and an ambulance at the scene.
