An 11-year-old girl is fighting for her life in hospital after being struck by a car in south London.
Emergency services rushed to Tooting Bec Road in Tooting at around 1pm on Friday following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
The schoolgirl was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital where she remains in a life-threatening condition.
The driver of the car was arrested and taken into custody where he remains.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anybody with information is urged to call 101, quoting reference 3570/12DEC.
