A car dealership is seeking permission to extend its site to enable it to start selling models of an electric car brand.
Greenhous Group Ltd wants to make a number of internal and external changes at its site in Featherbed Lane, Harlescott, Shrewsbury.
These include changing the existing repair/MOT bays into a car showroom for the Chery electric car brand.
Their planning application also seeks consent for the erection of a detached workshop to create an MOT centre, with the architects involved confirming it will not affect nearby residential dwellings.
"The alterations to the external façade of the existing building to accommodate the Chery livery are considered to be in keeping with the commercial nature of the site and surroundings," said Teresa Critchlow, of Sammons Architecural Ltd.
She said the replacement workshop would be "modest" in size and scale and would be positioned towards the rear of the site on an area of existing hardstanding.
No alterations were proposed to the site access, Ms Critchlow added.
She said the plans, if given the go-ahead, could support an extra five full-time jobs.
