STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The emergency response continues into the Monday morning rush hour for a major crash on the New Jersey Turnpike.
A multi-vehicle crash occurred around 4 a.m. on the New Jersey Turnpike southbound near exit 8A in the vicinity of Cranbury in South Brunswick Township, according to reports on ABC7 and NJ.com, a sister publication of the Advance/SILive.com.
A crash investigation and other police department activity is reported on the New Jersey Turnpike southbound in the inner roadway north of interchange, according to 511NY.
ABC7 is reporting that a person died in crash.
The car lanes southbound from exit 11 to exit 8 are closed. Delays also are reported on the New Jersey Turnpike northbound, according to ABC7.
