DALLAS, Texas (KXII) – Off-roading beasts sporty coupes, and three row SUVs can all be in the same room at the State Fair of Texas Auto Show.
For some, the rides that go up in the air and drop down are the reason they come to the fair, but for others, the rides in the A/C are what it’s all about.
“You can’t actually buy a vehicle here at the State Fair of Texas, so its a very low pressure environment,” said State Fair of Texas Director of Communications Taylor Pulfer. “If you’re looking for a new vehicle or if you just want to see what’s out and about there.”
This year, 16 car manufacturers have their most shiny and roomy cars, in all price ranges, on display, and they know how to keep spectators entertained.
From interactive exhibits, to high horsepower rides, all ages are able to take a seat behind the wheel and get a feel for what fits their needs.
Fairgoers said it’s nice knowing the product specialists are there to answer questions, no car sales are allowed on the floor, plus, it’s a chance to cool off.
“The air conditioning is pretty good,” said auto show spectator Brooklyn Martinez. “I like to look at the new yearly car models that come out.”
Nearing more than ten decades of the Texas Auto Show, Pulfer said vehicles have changed tremendously, and manufactures are reflecting that.
“Think of all the different hybrid vehicles, electric vehicles that we have,” Pufler said. “We now have Tesla over in our centennial building.”
She said each company puts in months of work and money to do so, but at no cost to car connoisseurs or children at play.
“it really is an awesome, low-pressure environment to be able to see these cars and touch and feel and see the latest features that they have.”
