A student was hit by a car on Tuesday in front of Panther Creek High School in Cary.
According to Cary police, the student was hit by a car while crossing McCrimmon Parkway around 7 a.m. in front of the school. The car was being driven by a student, police said.

The student, who was not using a crosswalk, was transported to the hospital as a precaution. The driver was not injured, police said.
No charges have been filed.
A sedan parked outside the school had visible damage to its front windshield, and multiple police officers were on site.
At 8:45 a.m., yellow tape was removed from the area and police cleared the car from the scene.
The school day at Panther Creek High School begins around 7 a.m. 
Police said the crash caused some delays around the school and urged students, pedestrians and drivers to use caution in the area.
