It’s the final weekend of New York City’s Summer Streets in Manhattan.
A route from the Brooklyn Bridge up to Dyckman Street is completely closed to vehicles Saturday, so people can walk, run, bike and enjoy more summer entertainment in the streets.
Activities are planned from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This marks the third straight weekend of Summer Streets in Manhattan, after the 2025 season kicked off in Queens and Staten Island in July.
“The usual traffic noise and honking horns will be replaced by open streets teeming with walkers, bikers, runners, and performers. Discover a wealth of free cultural programs, performances, fitness classes, interactive art, giveaways, and much more as you experience the city in a whole new way,” the NYCDOT website says
Summer Streets is in addition to the city’s “Open Streets” throughout the year. It wraps up next weekend in Brooklyn and the Bronx.
