The much-awaited new-generation Tata Sierra has been launched in India at an introductory price of Rs. 11.49 lakh ( introductory ex-showroom). It is available across four major variants, three powertrain options, and six colour schemes. Bookings open from 16 December, with deliveries slated to begin from 15 January 2026.
Engine and Specifications
This new-gen Tata Sierra is being offered with the automaker’s new 1.5-litre GDi turbo petrol producing 158bhp and 255Nm. This engine is only offered with a six-speed AT. You can also have the Sierra with a 1.5-litre NA petrol that produces 105bhp and 145Nm and can be had with either a six-speed MT or a seven-speed DCT. Finally, the diesel is Tata‘s 1.5-litre four-pot producing 116bhp and 260Nm and can be had with either a six-speed MT or a seven-speed DCT. Tata has also announced AWD for the Sierra and will be the first Tata model to get the technology among Tata’s new generation of vehicles.
Interior and Features
The cabin of the Sierra is very similar to that of the Curvv, but it debuts some elements to the Tata design language, the likes of which include a triple-screen layout, 12-speaker JBL sound system with a sound bar, HUD and a new centre console. Other features dual-zone climate control, connected car technology, Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, powered and ventilated front seats. The iconic Alpine roof has been re-imagined for the modern day – there’s no curvature – it is now an accented flat glass. A sunroof acts as a compensatory bit to aid roominess. All versions get six airbags, ABS with EBD, stability programme and ISOFIX child seat mounting points. It measures in at 4.6-metres with a wheelbase of 2.7-meters.
Exterior Design Highlights
The Tata Sierra’s design highlights include a boxy silhouette, an Alpine glass roof, 19-inch alloy wheels, a full-LED light package, a rear spoiler, and a newer version of the signature Tata grille. It is being offered in six exterior and three interior colour schemes.
