A TEENAGER has been charged by cops following the death of a pedestrian almost a year ago.
Emergency crews were called to Brambling Road in Coatbridge at around 5.20pm on November 9, following reports of a crash involving a black Vauxhall Corsa and a 57-year-old woman.

The pedestrian was transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where she later died.
Today police have confirmed that a 19-year-old woman has been charged.
She will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal and is expected to appear in court at a later date.
Following the horror smash the road was closed for several hours to allow for a full investigation to be carried out and police appeal to the public for information.

Following the pedestrian’s death, sergeant Gemma Blackadder said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died at this very difficult time.”
It comes after a teenager was left fighting for his life after being mowed down by a car in a hit-and-run in Port Glasgow.
The 19-year-old man sustained serious injuries when he was hit by a car that failed to stop in the early hours of this morning as he walked along the town’s Ardmore Road.
Paramedics scrambled to the scene near to Selkirk Road after the alarm was raised at around 1am on Sunday, November 2.

Medics describe his condition as critical.
