A multi-car pile-up in a Supercars support category saw the session delayed as no drivers could move out of the way due to the blocked track.
The cars created a 'carpark' on the narrow Gold Coast street track and the red flag flew to stop the session after just one lap.
Lachie Bloxham initially hit the kerb on the inside of turn three and unaware drivers behind him had nowhere to go as they flew through one of the quickest parts of the track.

10 drivers were involved in the pile-up and with only one lap completed, the race was called off by Motorsport Australia, which meant no drivers received championship points.
The track was blocked as 14 of the 24 cars on the grid were unable to continue, either stranded with no way through the carnage or damaged in the middle of the road.
"That is a massive crash. Huge crash," said Richard Craill on the Fox Sports broadcast.
"It'll stop the race. There's no doubt, red flag.
"Ten cars involved at least. This race is stopped. Goodness me.
"That is…it's hard to pick what car that's come from, to be honest."
This crash comes just hours after Brodie Kostecki crashed into the tyre barriers during Supercars qualifying and send four photographers flying. Will Brown also found the wall hard in the top ten shootout and heavily damaged his Triple Eight Camaro.
Race 28 of the Supercars Championship will begin at 4:15 AEDT.
