The 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show didn't seem like it would offer much excitement on paper, but when the manufacturers got rolling, it was clear it was playing host to several hugely interesting debuts. From family-friendly SUVs to rough-and-tumble off-roaders and from super-hot EVs to luxury sedans, here's everything you need to know about what went down in L.A.
While the exterior has plenty of special tweaks of its own, the interior is where it's at for us with this new twist on the brand's G70 compact sport sedan. (Hence the photo used here.) We love the blue interior with contrast orange stitching, and we're always suckers for a microsuede headliner. [Full First Look Story]
Hyundai's luxury brand is getting ever more serious about performance, and this GV60 is proof. Finished in the signature bright orange of the Magma subbrand, this compact EV packs up to 640 horsepower to back up its extremely bold style. We can't wait to drive it. [Full First Look Story]
Honda launches updates of its vehicles like clockwork, and it's the Pilot three-row family SUV's turn. The story: bolder styling and several tweaks made to address its biggest flaws, which we were happy to hear. [Full First Look Story]
XRT has heretofore been just a trim level on various Hyundai SUVs. That changes with the Crater, which signal's the Korean company's intent to enter the real off-roader space occupied by icons like the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco. Will it work? Who knows at this point—but at least the Crater looks pretty badass. [Full First Look Story]
This new Gladiator variant takes the M715 military truck—itself based on the old SJ Gladiator of the ’60s and ’70s—as its inspiration. Specific touches include sweet olive drab paint, retro lettering on the hood, and wheels that throw back to the working Jeeps of decades ago. [Full First Look Story]
This is as close to an all-electric Wrangler as we're gonna get for a while, and the Recon takes EVs to a whole new level in terms of adventurous styling and functions. The doors come off, windows come out, and off-road adventures await. [Full First Look Story]
Another military-inspired vehicle, the Commando 392 packs a powerful Hemi V-8 and all the gear you need to head way, way off-grid. What it doesn't have, though, is much of a chance to reach your driveway, as only 250 will be built and 249 of them are restricted to very special buyers. [Full First Look Story]
The furst full redesign of Kia's breakout hit three-row SUV, the new Telluride goes long on luxury looks and features. If its corporate cousin, the mechanically similar Hyundai Palisade, is anything to go by, Kia's going to have no problem keeping these things flying off lots. [Full First Look Story]
