A pedestrian has died following a collision involving a bus and a car in Co Kildare on Friday morning.
The man is the third person to die on Irish roads since Thursday.
Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of the Kildare incident, which happened on the R402 at Kishawanny, Carbury, at around 6.30am.
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead. His body remains at the scene and the coroner has been notified.
“No other injuries were reported at the time,” a Garda spokesperson said.
The scene is being held for gardaí to carry out a technical examination of the scene. The R402 at the Kishawanny Road junction remains closed and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 5.45am and 6.45am on Friday morning are asked to make the footage available to investigating gardaí.

“Investigations are ongoing,” the spokesperson said.
The latest fatal road traffic collision comes after a woman, in her 70s, died following a single-car crash in Co Limerick..
The incident happened on the Abington Road, Murroe, at around 4.10pm.
Meanwhile, in Co Fermanagh, a man was killed following a single-vehicle crash in Lisnaskea shortly after 4.20pm on Thursday.
He has been named as 69-year-old Francis Lynch from the Rosslea area.
