Three people have been taken to hospital after a lorry and car collided on the A1(M) near Stevenage this afternoon (November 25).
Police were called shortly after 1.35pm following the crash southbound at Junction 7, with three ambulances, three Hazardous Area Response Team vehicles and East Anglian Air Ambulance also called to the scene.
Three people suffered injuries and have been taken to Lister Hospital for treatment.
The southbound carriageway was closed with emergency services dealt with the incident, and one lane remains closed at this time.

“Police were called shortly after 1.35pm today following a collision on the A1(M) southbound,” a Herts police spokesperson said.
“It was reported that two vehicles were involved – a lorry and a car – and officers remain on scene.”
“Three ambulance, three Hazardous Area Response Team vehicles and East Anglian Air Ambulance were called to a road traffic collision this afternoon on the A1(M) near Stevenage,” an East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said.
“Three patients were transported by road ambulance to Lister Hospital.”
