PROVIDENCE, Utah (KUTV) — Two teenagers were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Providence Saturday evening.
Utah Highway Patrol public information officer Davies Sanchez confirmed just after 7 p.m. that it was a two-vehicle crash with injuries involving a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Sienna.
The 17-year-old male died from injuries at the scene, and the 14-year-old female later died in the hospital due to the injuries from the crash, according to Sanchez.
He said on Saturday night the driver of the Corolla lost control and crossed all lanes to the left into oncoming traffic.
Sanchez added the Corolla struck the front of the minivan before rolling over. He said three of the five occupants of the Corolla were ejected from the vehicle.
One person was airlifted from the scene to the hospital. Three others were transported by ambulance, according to Sanchez.
Saturday night the Logan Police Department, along with the Logan Fire Department and several other agencies, responded to the crash.
Sanchez said the crash was blocked at MP 9 on southbound SR-165.
It was not clear what caused the crash.
