FALL RIVER — Two Fall River teens were killed in an early morning crash Sept. 20 on Interstate-195 in Dartmouth.
According to a press release from Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn’s office, at approximately 1:09 am this morning Massachusetts State Police received 911 calls for an erratic operator at high speeds on I-195 West in Dartmouth. Upon arrival in the area of the Reed Road Exit police located a KIA sedan that had left the roadway and was located crashed in the median. Police determined the vehicle’s two occupants, a male and female — both teenagers from Fall River, had been ejected and were located in the left travel lane.
Both occupants were pronounced deceased on scene.
The vehicle was newly reported stolen out of Fall River. The State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office also responded to this crash.
Another teen was killed in a crash in Taunton Friday night.
At approximately 10:13 pm Sept. 19 Taunton Police responded to a single motor vehicle crash at 168 Tremont St. where first responders located a Toyota Tacoma pick up truck that was fully engulfed. Initial observations determined that the vehicle left the roadway on Tremont Street, struck the front porch of the home at 168 Tremont Street and rolled into parked cars in the driveway of the home.
The female teenage operator from Dighton was pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives from the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office also responded to this crash.
