EVERETTU.S. 2 remains closed Saturday near milepost 20 for a two-vehicle fatality collision east of Monroe.
Troopers are on scene investigating the crash, and motorists should expect an extended closure, said Washington State Patrol spokesperson Kelsey Harding in a post on X.

🚨SR2 MP20 (just east of Monroe) is partially blocked for a two car fatality collision. This is an extended closure while troopers on scene investigate this tragic collision.

Around 7:15 p.m. Saturday, Harding posted, “Both directions are fully blocked. Please seek alternative routes.”
No other details about the crash were immediately available.
