Emergency crews respoded to a car fire on Highway 1 in Abbotsford on Wednesday morning (Sept. 17).
The blaze blocked the eastbound right lane east of Sumas Way just before 7 a.m. and BC Highway Patrol was called to assist with traffic.
The Chilliwack Fire Department  doused an old car that caught fire on its own, according to BCHP.
"There was no collision, no one was hurt, and the car was quickly towed away," BCHP said.
According to Drive BC, the incident was cleared as of 7:42 a.m.
