SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WSBT) — One person is dead after a crash that injured multiple people in South Bend.
Police responded to the intersection of Ironwood and Jackson Roads around 1:30 Friday afternoon, after a serious crash involving 3 vehicles, just south of the bypass.

Despite lifesaving efforts, one of the drivers involved in the crash was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased driver is being withheld, pending next-of-kin notification.
Two additional people were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Police say one of the vehicles slammed into a nearby house. No significant structural damage was reported.
The crash remains under investigation by St. Joseph County FACT.
