Without question, one of the best off-road vehicles you can buy today is the Jeep Wrangler. Capable, rugged, proven, and relatively simple (for a modern vehicle, at least), this rough-and-tumble SUV is ready for just about anything you’ll come across on the trail, from sand and ruts, to mud, boulders, fallen logs, standing water and much more. Helping Wrangler owners elevate their vehicles to a whole new level, a company called America’s Most Wanted 4×4 (AMW 4×4) offers some amazing powertrain conversions for this venerable Jeep, and to help them continue doing this, the firm just opened a brand-new global headquarters.
Jeep is an American brand known for rugged SUVs and off-road capability. Founded in 1941, the iconic World War II Jeep design cemented their image. Today, Jeep offers a range of SUVs with different capabilities, from the luxurious Grand Cherokee to the adventurous Wrangler.
As reported by Mopar Insiders, AMW 4×4 just moved into a former Lowe’s home improvement store in Burton, Michigan. This facility is a massive – quite literally – upgrade over their previous shop, which was located in Holly, Michigan. The new headquarters covers more than 100,000 square feet, a huge amount of space that should allow the company to better serve its customers.
To celebrate the auspicious occasion, AMW 4×4 hosted a Jeeps and Java event, that is, a brand-appropriate cars and coffee last Saturday at the new Burton facility. According to Mopar Insiders, the headquarters also has “a large, modern showroom, a parts warehouse, an expansive workshop, and even entertainment areas designed to make customer visits special.” With the extra square footage, the company can also stock more parts in its inventory and handle vehicle retrofits at a higher rate to better meet customer needs.
According to Jared Petiprin, one of the owners, AMW 4×4 prides itself on building the best engine conversions in the business. Their products are fastidiously engineered and manufactured by familiar tier-1 and tier-2 automotive suppliers, the same companies used by the big OEMs. This practically guarantees the quality and dependability of the components they offer.
AMW 4×4 offers Hemi V8 conversions for the Wrangler SUV and Gladiator midsize truck. Customers can choose from a wide array of different V8s, everything from the “standard” 5.7-liter Hemi and the larger 392 (6.4 liters) version to supercharged Hellcat, larger-displacement Hellephant and even the ultra-powerful Demon engine, it all depends on how fast you want to go… oh, and how much you can afford. None of these conversions are cheap. The most affordable options cost around $32,000, though you can spend up to 90 grand for one of the top offerings, so bring your checkbook.
