A Wake County mother is accused of driving impaired and crashing her car into a gate while her child was in the car, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
According to arrest warrants, 34-year-old Brittany Gregory Hines was allegedly drunk driving Sunday on Bartley Holleman Road in Holly Springs while her 9-year-old son was in the car. Court records show her blood alcohol content level was at 0.19.

She is accused of failing to drive her car within a single lane, then running off the road and crashing into a nearby gate near the intersection of Bartley and New Hill Holleman Roads. It is unclear what time this crash happened.
Hines was charged with two misdemeanor counts of child abuse and one misdemeanor driving while impaired. She’s also been charged with failing to maintain lane control.
She was not issued a bond, as she signed a written promise to appear in court. She is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 21.
