AUSTIN, Texas — A Waymo vehicle was involved in a multi-vehicle crash in Central Austin on Monday morning, according to the Austin Police Department.
Austin police officers responded to the three-car collision at around 8:34 a.m. on the 5700 block of Airport Blvd.
Preliminary information indicates a southbound vehicle attempted a left turn onto Koenig Lane against a red light. This maneuver led to a collision with another vehicle and the Waymo vehicle.

A driver was manually operating the Waymo vehicle and no riders were inside at the time of the crash, the company said. It was entering the intersection on a green light.
Airbags deployed in the vehicles, but all occupants exited without serious injuries, though one person reported minor pain.
The roadway was temporarily blocked but cleared by 9:26 a.m.
No arrests were made or charges filed.
