A one off supercar takes Vegas glitz literally with a paint job packed with Easter eggs and handcrafted tributes to racing and luck
Say hello to Project Viva by MSO, a bespoke McLaren 750S Spider unveiled ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix and shaped around the spectacle of Sin City. Before anything else, it helps to picture the 750S you already know, then imagine it dressed in an experiment of color and detail.
Mechanically, the supercar special matches any other 750S, yet its one-off paint scheme, which McLaren calls a sketch in motion, separates it from everything else in the lineup.

The paint combines Muriwai White with a newly created color called Vegas Lights. This black finish carries flecks of cyan, magenta, and green, formulated specifically for this single car to echo the shifting glow of Las Vegas. An elaborate set of hand-painted elements then adds layers of references tied to both the city and the brand.
What’s Hidden In The Paint?
For example, Project Viva has a pair of dice commemorating 1905, the year Las Vegas was founded, and 1963, when McLaren was founded. There are also ten stars on the rear bumper to celebrate the firm’s 10 Formula 1 constructors’ titles, which were applied by McLaren’s current F1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
McLaren also added an image of the Muriwai Trophy that Bruce McLaren earned at the Muriwai Hill Climb in New Zealand. A depiction of Bruce McLaren’s 1970 racing helmet appears within the more complex sections of the design, along with a series of neon arrows that reference Las Vegas signage.
A Vegas Tribute In Small Pieces
McLaren Special Operations’ attention to detail continues elsewhere. There is a sign under the rear wing reading Fabulous, inspired by the city’s familiar welcome sign, an outline of Nevada on the right-hand side, and a cactus motif worked into the surrounding artwork.
The automaker didn’t say how long it took for the custom paint to be applied to this 750S Spider, but we have a feeling that it took a few weeks to finish it.
Those in Las Vegas can view the car at the McLaren Experience Center at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel from November 13-20.
“Project Viva captures what McLaren Special Operations is all about – pushing beyond convention to create something truly personal,” MSO director Jonathan Simms said.
“It’s where craft meets character, and where any inspiration can become a story told through design. Every commission we create is a fusion of vision and skill, resulting in a car that authentically expresses the inspiration behind it. Whether born from brand storytelling or a client’s own passion, MSO exists to turn ideas into something unique and meaningful.”
