2024 Wheels of Time Rod & Custom Car Jamboree
The 46th annual Wheels of Time Rod and Custom Jamboree will bring more than 1,500 street rods and custom cars to Macungie Memorial Park from Friday-Sunday, Aug. 22-24, continuing its legacy of family entertainment and charitable giving.
Pennsylvania State Police announced Buckeye Road between Tank Farm Road and Chestnut Street (State Route 29) in Upper Milford Township will be closed 5-9 Friday night of the show, except for local residents, to manage the influx of vehicles. Police warned that motorists engaging in unsafe driving will face citations.
The three-day event features vintage cars from 1996 and older. This year’s special attractions include the Dorney Park Speedway Memories display by Henry and Sue Wilt, professional lumberjack demonstrations, and iconic TV vehicles including the ECTO-1 Ghostbuster Ambulance and Batgirl cycle.
Live entertainment includes performances by The Castaways Band and Flight Risk on Friday, while Saturday brings Scott Marshall & the Highway Souls, Avenue 16, and Flamin’ Dick & the Hot Rods. The Allentown Hobo Marching Band will also perform Saturday afternoon.
The jamboree, which draws over 10,000 spectators annually, has donated more than $1.35 million to local charities and awarded over 300 scholarships. The event features 150 vendors, a flea market, car corral, and family activities including bingo and a women’s craft area.
Daily admission is $15 for adults, with children under 16 free. A new three-day pass is available for $30. The show opens at 7 a.m. each day, and attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for local food banks.
