A driver was killed in a high-speed crash outside Warner Bros. Studios early Wednesday morning after her vehicle burst into flames and she was ejected from the car, police said.
Dashcam footage shows the car speeding past another vehicle on Olive Avenue in Burbank before skidding off the road near Pass Avenue around 1 a.m., according to the Burbank Police Department.
The car was seen exploding into a massive fireball and flipping, with the mangled white sedan landing on its roof.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim lying “unconscious and not breathing,” police said.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. There were no passengers in the car at the time.
The cause of death is still under investigation, but Burbank police said speed played a roll in the crash. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
