A woman was taken to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after being hit by a car in Bury this afternoon.
The incident happened on Birch Street just after 1pm today, Friday (October 24), and the road remains closed.
Pictures from the scene show a large police presence and cordon in place on Walmersley Road.
The woman was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to assist police officers.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: “A woman was in collision with a car at just after 1pm.
“She was treated at the scene and is being treated in hospital for ‘serious injuries’.
“The driver of the car remained at the scene to assist officers.”
