BREMERTON, Wash. — A female pedestrian was killed during a hit-and-run incident in Bremerton early Sunday morning, police report.
The Bremerton Police Department says the collision happened around 5:50 a.m. at the intersection of Wheaton Way and Ivy Road.

Bremerton Police and Fire personnel quickly responded to the scene, where they discovered the dead woman and launched an investigation.
The Kitsap Interagency Traffic Team (KITT) has been activated to assist in the investigation.
While investigators said they have developed several strong leads, they are withholding specific details at this time. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
