NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WFSB) – A pedestrian was killed after an early morning crash in New Haven.
The victim was identified as Mary Claire Hartman, 56, from New Haven.
At around 12:03 a.m. officers were called to the area of Chapel and Temple Street for the report of a pedestrian hit by a car.
Police reportedly found Hartman lying in the road. She was brought to the hospital where authorities said she later died.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene.
According to police, surveillance video showed a car drive through a red light and hit Hartman who was crossing the street.
Police said no arrests were made yet.
No further details were released.
