A woman died early Saturday morning after becoming pinned under a car in downtown Dallas, police said.
Around 4:40 a.m., police responded to a call in the 1500 block of Elm Street. Police found a woman, who was not identified, had been hit by a car and was stuck underneath it.
Firefighters used extrication tools and airbags to lift the car before putting the woman in the back of an ambulance and transporting her to a hospital, where she died, Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesperson Jason Evans said.
The driver remained at the scene, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
