YONKERS, Westchester County (WABC) — Several people were injured when a car slammed into a building in Yonkers on Wednesday morning.
It happened just before 10 a.m. at a Montefiore Medical Group building on Central Park Avenue.
At least five people were hurt, but the extent of their injuries was not yet known.
Those injured included two people in the car and three employees.
Police are looking into whether a medical episode caused the elderly driver to lose control.
The medical office offers primary care, urgent care, pediatrics and is usually very crowded.
The building sustained considerable damage and the structure will need to be evaluated.
Few other details were released.
