Southampton residents are set to be sent on a city-wide scavenger hunt today and tomorrow, as £6,000 is being given away by a brand new car dealership.
Four different £1,000 in-person giveaways are up for grabs today “in the heart of Southampton city centre”, as hunting hopefuls are being tasked with finding a hidden XPENG G6 car.
Hints at the location will be released twice a day by Peter Cooper XPENG, the showroom behind the scavenger hunt, sending residents on a goose chase with “clues” on its website at 11.30am and 2.30pm both today and tomorrow.

Hopefuls will then have to input the hint on What3Words to find the location, where they can win £1,000 for finding it.
Eagle-eyed readers will have seen mysterious adverts in the last two editions of the Daily Echo promoting the event, and a further four £500 prizes are being given away online on Peter Cooper XPENG’s website.
The scavenger hunt is being held to promote the opening of the dealership’s new showroom on West End high street.
The XPENG G6 itself starts at £39,990.
