A man in his 40s has died and three others were left injured after a serious crash in Birdlip.
Emergency services were called to a collision involving a Honda Civic and a car transporter on the A417 Birdlip bypass in Gloucestershire at around 9:40am today.
The driver of the Honda Civic, a man in his 40s from Gloucester, was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining serious injuries.
Three passengers in the car, a woman and two young children, were taken to the hospital in Bristol to be treated for their injuries.
The man’s next of kin have been informed and police say they are being supported by specially trained officers.

The car transporter driver was assessed by paramedics and was found not to have sustained any serious injuries.
Road closures have been put in place and it is expected that they will remain for several hours, while a polcie investigation takes place.
The A417 has been closed in both directions between Cirencester and Gloucester (including the Air Balloon roundabout), the M5 junction 11a slip road, B4070 Buckholt Road junction and Twelve Bells junction.
Investigating officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed collision, or has any relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.
