WASHINGTON, Conn. — Connecticut State Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a driver they said consistently drives dangerously, switching cars and license plates in an apparent effort to avoid arrest.
“The driver operates in a reckless manner, passing cars and school buses,” the Washington resident trooper wrote on Facebook. Troopers once tried to pull over the driver on Route 8, but the car sped off so fast that police had to stop the pursuit for safety reasons, the trooper said.

The driver switches license plates and vehicles every week, police said. But troopers have noticed some consistent behaviors, besides reckless driving: Around 6:45 every morning, the person travels west on Route 109 through Washington to New Milford, where the person may work, they said.
One of the driver’s cars is a green Subaru Legacy with a Florida dealer license plate, 61931X.

Two people commented that they saw one of the cars driving recklessly, one writing that the Subaru passed him driving what appeared to be faster than 90 mph.
“Very dangerous,” the other person said. “I hope you catch him.”
