Emergency officials are responding to a major crash on I-20 heading Westbound that happened around 11 a.m. Near Oporto-Madrid Blvd., several police vehicles are blocking off the ramp to I-20 while medics work with Birmingham Fire and Rescue on scene. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) say that the accident is expected to be cleaned up by 4 p.m. Drivers are encouraged to drive an alternate route.
