BRISTOL, R.I. (WJAR) — The Mount Hope Bridge closed for approximately an hour on Tuesday due to a car crash, according to the Bristol Police Department.
This is the second crash in two days to shut down one of Rhode Island's bridges after a car fire on the Washington Bridge shut down traffic on both sides of I-195 on Monday afternoon.
The bridge reopened shortly after 1:30 p.m., according to the Bristol Police Department.
Details on the Mount Hope Bridge crash are currently unknown.
