EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah (KUTV) — One person was killed in a two-car crash after their vehicle caught fire.
Michael Smith, a spokesperson for the Utah County Sheriff's Office, said vehicles crashed at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, on Eagle Mountain Boulevard near 6384 North.
One of the cars started on fire. A deputy was able to get the driver out and attempted to provide first aid, but the driver was fatally injured and died at the scene.
"It was a pretty severe crash," Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Ray Ormond said.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle involved were injured and transported to area hospitals.
Their condition was unknown.
